Good Morning Lucy -- Made it through the weekend ok. I am struggling with some "triggers", though. I am in school and am finding it difficult to study without wanting to smoke. It had become such a habit to read for a few hours, have a smoke, then go back to studying. I am really just having to take this one day at a time and trusting those who have gone before me that it will get easier. Good Morning Lucy -- I find myself blind-sided by intense cravings every few days. They are usually associated with moments of worry, stress and anxiety. But I can't say that I've been in serious danger of slipping so far. For me this is definitely a one day at a time process - I know I can handle getting through today, so I'm not going to worry about tomorrow for now. And I know what you mean about clothes smelling better!! It's great isn't it? I cleaned out my car over the weekend and it's so nice to get in it and not have it smell like smoke. Hang in there Breakers!! Good idea on the bump Brent. Hello Breakers. Still smoke-free here, but struggling everyday on the way to the 30-day mark. I do fine in the early part of the day, but have been finding that strong cravings seem to hit me in the late afternoon and I just hold on waiting for another day to end. Lucy -- I hope you reward yourself as much as $$ will allow. If I wasn't a poor college student, I'd reward myself every day!!! The power of this addiction is tremendous. We should be proud of ourselves for every day we resist it. Good morning everyone! Doing pretty well so far today. I am proud to have been smoke-free for 4 weeks (although it seems like forever since I had a cigarette!) I will hit the 30-day mark over the weekend and am keeping myself in check just in case I am hit with the 30-days cravings I've read so much about here. I am grateful for this site and the shared experiences of others so I can prepare myself for the potential tough times along the way. Staying busy seems to be the best approach for me, but that is difficult when I have to spend so much of my time sitting and studying. I haven't found a good solution to that problem yet. Thankfully, I was already consistent with the exercise. (consistent, but crazy as I would go for a run and come home and have a smoke!!) My workouts have improved some since I quit and I've avoided any weight gain so far. Have a great day! Hello Breakers, Sorry I missed the thread yesterday, was not feeling good. My vertigo kicked in all day yesterday. Thank goodness, it my holiday off, I don't have to take it on my time. I'm glad everyone survived the weekend. Did the dancing but not yesterday, and just like Aunt Sissy, still eating everything on site. Good news, didn't have that craving at all and I just finished the BLAH week. I always like to treat myself on Fridays just somehow goes with the weekend. Go for it Luci, if you can afford it why not. I'm thinking and thinking about my 30 days reward, I let you know what I came up with. Still can't believe I did it...WE DID IT..STILL SMOKE FREE SUSAN My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/27/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 21 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 258 Amount Saved: $52.5 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 3 Mins: 39 Seconds: 44

I made it through the weekend just fine. I am still eating all the time. But not smoking. It still seems odd to me that I "want" a cig. They smell horrible, I could only imagine it would taste horrible by now too. Why would I still want one??? It must be that nicodemon talking to me. I just don't want to be a smoker more than I want that cig. Thank goodness for that I will not smoke one to do this all over again. I was looking at my stats when I logged in a moment ago and probably by tonight I will be real close to 1,000 cigs not smoked in 24 days and to think I smoked for almost 12 yrs. **Glad to see all are still well!!!!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 24 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 977 Amount Saved: $156 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 21 Mins: 14 Seconds: 36
