18 years ago 0 44 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hey jeanigirl, I was reading your note form the 12th 4 days of not smoking and hope that you are still doing fine. My quit date is tomorrow and I hope that I can follow your progress and have you as one of my mentor. Just think how good we're goint to feel and how much extra money we'll have for shopping. Keep on trucking.... :)

Awesome Job, jeanigirl! My day 4 was awful. Went shopping with the kids and hubby and cried the whole way home!??! Was so angry at hubby, at myself, at the world. Felt like I was all alone, that no one cared about me. Completely irrational after the fact, but at the moment, I was so overwhelmed! Would a smoke have made it better? No. Will a smoke make anything better? No. Just have to keep reminding myself of it. It has been a few years since I have been able to quit this long, and now that my other half has gone almost a month, I feel like I am in control of smoking (or not), instead of the other way around. Thanks again for all the support! saranico

You should be feeling better soon. If you didn't get a lot of sleep last night ... why don't you try taking a nap if you can. Don't worry about one more week. Do not smoke just for today. Yesterday is gone and you can worry about tomorrow when it gets here. Deep breathes, one day at a time. That is how we all stay smoke free. You are really doing great! Jeani, Your determination is outstanding! You are doing this and these feelings will pass. Take some time to make a list of distracting activities or chores and get going! The avoidance and distraction will keep those craves from barging in :) Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
