How true about the days smoked thing! I have a problem with the "forever" concept. It seems like such a long time. So I told myself that when I have not smoked as long again as I smoked, I can think about starting again. I will be about 82 then and I just can't imagine that I will want to.

Yes, I completely agree with all of the above posts. My computer was out for 7 days and although I do not post on a daily basis I do check in more than once a day, to read and to get perspective. With out this site I know for a FACT that I would not feel as strong as I do. The 7 days that I was not connected were a bit more stressful than I care to mention. Needless to say I was pretty excitted to get the computer back last night and to be able to post my stats today. And of course to see how everyone else is doing. Being complacent is not an option! Not for me anyways. Dear Bubba First, let me tell you how much I appreciate your support and value your wisdom. This post is so right ON! Support even after 90 days, 300 days, 1000 days can be the difference between success and failure. When my husband sees me on the computer at this site.....he says.....sheesh get on with your life, you are quit! Interesting fact I would like to see in the QUIT METER # of Days I Smoked: 12,140 Smoke Free Days 120 Bubba-----with these kind of stats Even YOU would still be a beginner!! So I agree with you 100% that support is necessary to hold on tight to your quit!! As always...thanks Signed Bubba Fan My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/30/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 122 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,835 Amount Saved: $366 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 8 Mins: 22 Seconds: 21

Wow Bubba, what fantastic stats. You are right, it is dangerous to get complacent about our quit, no matter how far along the road we are. As far as I'm concerned, truer words were never spoken. I NEEDED this site daily when I quit. Though a little less frequently, I am STILL here! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/21/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 313 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,709 Amount Saved: $782.5 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 8 Mins: 12 Seconds: 29
