I have been very irritable, cranky and grouchy the past two days. Yesterday I thought it was becuz it was Monday ( :quest: ), but as it turns out, no - it's becuz I'm serious this time about quitting and like that t-shirt says "I HAVE ONE NERVE LEFT AND YOU'RE STEPPING ON IT"...........that's sorta how I feel right now. I appreciate your cheerleading, it's really helpful! Hi Sallys_daugther.. I have the same quit date as you! It is a good sign that we are hanging on regardless the nasty mood, or the 'Zombie' space out (that was what i had the first 2 days)... In the past, i could have easily given in within 1 day. This time, we are serious about it!!!!!! And we can cheer each other on. I like the T-shirt :P Na My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/14/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 80 Amount Saved: $12 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 57 Seconds: 5

Me too, according to my wife (who hasn't quit yet) and my daughters. Take DEEP breaths, walk around, this too will pass. The demons are really trying to get you back, DON'T LET THEM. Smile, breath, and congradulate yourself for quitting!!! Hi Sallys_daughter - You are perfectly normal and entitled to be cranky today. You are doing a great thing for your family. Please just explain to them that it might be best if they gave you a little space...or run for their lives! LOL! Anyway - not to make light of your situation...it is very normal to be cranky. The first week of quitting is the worst and I promise it does get better. Just come online and holler for help and I know that someone will come to your rescue. Just Don't Smoke!! How old are the kids? If they are old enough tell them what you are going through. I told my daughter and she just said she would stay outta the way for a few days. Hi Sallys_daughter, What a great nerve line! I think I'll email that one to my husband. You sound very determined, good. You (we all) are on the right road. Sallys daughter, It's amazing what lurks just below the surface ain't it! I'm convinced though that this is why they are called our loved ones. They will love you through all of this and in spite of what happens in the next month or so. It'll get better. Just remember to be extra kind on your good days to make up for the bad ones! Stay Strong and congrats on nearly 3 days. Get those rewards ready! sally's daughter, Stay close and know that this is normal and will pass! Post often and let us know how you are doing :) Take some you time to relax and pamper yourself. This can relieve any excess anger and stress. Keep Strong, Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
