Sounds like a good  plan Eleveno.  Talk therapy is great for processing emotions. Ashley, Health Educator

Hi Ashley. Thank you for help. You are always very attentive. Regarding CBT techniques I do not feel adding more to the combo I am already using :). CBT is great but has its own limitations.

When I am feeling worse usually I have talk therapy, maybe it is a good week to have an appointment with my therapist :)

Hi Eleveno,

Sorry to you are fighting depression and anxiety now. We are all here to listen  (read) whenever you need us. You are not alone in this.

You do what you know works for you. When you are feeling a bit better I do want you to challenge the idea that you can't change core beliefs.  Changing core beliefs can be incredibly challenging especially well engrained beliefs or beliefs that are not fully acknowledged but they are not impossible to change.  With a lot of insight, CBT, courage, effort and likely a therapists to help you can create core beliefs that serve you. If you feel comfortable discussing I am curious to know what beliefs you are having trouble with.

Hi there,
I'm sorry you're having a difficult time.  I will respect your right to not discuss this further.  Know, however, that if you're up to a chat, just post and I will be here.  You take care love.

Hi rosiesmom. Thank you for your message :)
I understand your point of view but I am at a point that I have done extensive therapy, and my focus right now is only to manage sympotms of anxiety and depression so they do not spiral and get out of control. Now I do not want to go deeper than this.

Hi Eleveno,
I think some core beliefs can be changed, especially the negative ones we grew up to believe about ourselves as dictated by what others (parents, siblings) said or did to us.  We need to be aggressive with those beliefs to destroy them and begin to paint a picture of who we really are by knowing who we really are.  We need to be who we are and not what others have told us to be.  This is what I am struggling with again and I know I can reshape my thinking with hard work.  Good luck to you!

For some time I didn't post nothing here about core beliefs, and for a reason. It is good to know what are our main core beliefs and even to challenging it, but the true is, and in my opinion, that these core beliefs can't be changed.
