Good Morning:

I did my WRAP- Wellness Recover Action Plan a couple of weeks ago and I have to scale it down.  I need to look at it every evening to see if I am getting any warning signs.  I know the depression signs such as isolation, not doing laundry, cooking, or cleaning apartment and very tired.  Now I have to realize when I am too stressed out or doing too much.  I have to  listen to my body more accurately and my friends.  You see, I have a tendency not to listen when people suggest I am doing too much. Every morning and night I am keeping a Mood Chart I created that I can show my doctors and therapist to see if I may be in for a hard time.  I also have schedules I made but I need to follow them more closely. I definetely need to go to bed at 10PM and up at 7am which is 9 hours, and not eat junk food and have proper meals and eat breakfast as I haven't for years.

I want to work on this CBT program one week at a time, so I think I will start from scratch this week.  I want to be able to read my books and understand what them mean and I am going to time my activities such as an hour at computer NOT 5 hours straight.

I intellectually know the wrap and what to do, but now I need to learn to put it into action.  If my finances are secure enough, I think I will only do 4 hrs respite and 3 hrs YMCA After school program next year a week and my 30 hr EA job.  I want to make sure I have enough time for exercise and time for myself.  I would like to continue with Mood Disorders Social group with my friend and don't be alone by myself as much.  I want to continue with stretching and relaxation classes, as I was not able to go for 3 weeks b/c of the burning pain.

These are my 2009 goals so I will be able to work and not go on disability and go to the pain clinic and receive my injections and do NOT go off the cesamet unless the pain doctor advises.  I hope you all have a good day, and Thank You for being a great support for me.

Wendsybarbie,

So very very happy to hear that you have found some relief from your pain, some insight into your needed plans for 2009 and a strategy for getting better.  Also I am very glad you have a diagnosis.  I know that must be a relief as well.

Keep us posted and would also like to hear the answer to Sarah's question, how ya gonna do it?

windsybarbie,

Thank you for the update.

You mentioned that you plan on slowing down in 2009 and monitoring yourself. Have you thought about how you will achieve this? Any strategies in mind?

Hi Everyone

Thanks for all your support on the other thread.  On Wed the burning pain was unbearable that I ended up in a Crisis Unit
until today.  I did see that Fibro Dr that I was hoping to see in 3 months.  He still remembered me from 2 years ago, as I was in his study.  Yesterday he gave me neck block injections- trigger point injections.I have another appointment on Dec 19th and Dec 30th for more injections. It was so nice to finally get someone who listened and believed I have pain.

I had immediate relieve and I finally was able to sleep last night.  The constant pain was non stop for 7 days straight, and I have taken time off work until next Friday afternoon and then we have 2 wk Christmas Break.  I also went back on nabilone(cesamet) which controlled this burning pain for 2 years.  It was my BIG Mistake to go off the cesamet b/c of the bad side effects.  Now I think it was the hydromorph as I am still on that.  I could not restart the cesamet unless a doctor's approval.  He took me off the methadone, and I have my appointment for 2nd opinion regarding bipolar diagnosis. Now I will be able to concentrate, relax and do Christmas Baking and work on this depression CBT program. I am now looking forward to the Christmas Season and I will enjoy it very much.

I have to notice my warning signs before it is too late.  I never know when it is time to go to the crisis unit.  and NOT the hospital as the ER dr called a shrink on call and would not listen when I asked for pain meds.  The pain clinic was waiting for ER'S call as there were no drs availble that day at the pain clinic.  You see I was not safe at my school and my VP even called the pain clinic on my behalf.  I know I still have a job, but twice now I was having problems, and both those times were due to the burning pain.  The dr said I do not have nerve damage, it is my Fibromylagia.  I am going to SLOW DOWN some in 2009 and monitor myself more closely.

PS: I am not sure what thread to put this on so I put it under medication.  FYI cesamet or nabilone is a synthetic marijuana substance and that is what can only control my burning pain and now these TP injections will allow immediate relief.  Thank You for listening and Happy holidays.....Windsy
