Gabs,
We also wish you a speedy recovery! Good for you for taking some time for yourself! Let your body heal and let the hubby clean up, after all you did wrap everything :)
Try those trashy magazines for a good laugh or your favorite movie to relax you. It is all about you today, so don't challenge this and give into relaxation and you time :)

Hi Gang,
Well yesterday I went in for the dreaded minor back op.
As i knew, it really wasnt that big a deal.
The hospital was lovely, I mean like a 5 star hotel The view over london amazing. Wish they could have kept me in for a week!
Anyway, I was in and out in one day.
Today i feel as though i have been run over, not that i have ever been run over but just guessing. Very bruised that will take time to heal. The out come i wont know for approx 3 weeks.
I did manage to get all of the presents wrapped and all of the non perishable food bought etc.
Still today the lounge is still littered with the scraps of wrapping paper and everything looks a mess.
But I am staying in my bed as I am determined that this time i will take the rest that my body needs.
The husband has promised to clean up the house so for now the madness that leads up to Christmas day has stopped.
I just wished that I was able to sleep. My depression is not great just now and for some reason anxiety feelings are still there but i feel kind of able to control it.
I'm edgy and irritable but no tears.
Day time t.v. is awful and i cant concentrate on a decent book.
Still today, I will rest, have a nice bath and generally put myself first. A huge achievement in itself.
Hope the rest of you are all hanging in there.
till later. x
