Tension...

I have the same problem. I did two things that help pretty much. 1. try and start recognize when you are tensing your shoulders, and then deliberatly relax them...even if you have to sneak off to deep breath for five minutes or so. 2. I bought a micorwaveable heading pad that specifically fits around your neck and shoulders. I'm in the US and I bought it at my grocery store, and I think Wal-Mart sells them. I put one on, and GENTLY massage, rub my neck while it is on. Then I fall alseep with the hot pad, and the heat fades as you sleep. That has helped me tremendously. It cut my tension headaches in half. :)

Don't forget bubble baths sometimes help to ease the tention. With some nice aroma therapy bubblebath.I am lucky because I have an old fashioned claw foot bathtub that holds alot of water.Keep trying alot of things untill you find something that eases the pain. Star

I agree with Josie... Yoga! Works wonderfully and you will not believe how loose your neck and shoulders will feel afterwards. It really does make you feel better. ( I can feel my shoulders inching up towards my ears as I type this...) ;p Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Dying, There are many relaxation techniques you can do. Try stretches, pilates or yoga. There are many tapes that you can purchase. Try working with your doctor to come up with a plan that is suited for you. Take the time to challenge your depression by using the tools and program. By seeking help from the other support members, you can learn from one another. Keep Strong, Josie ___________________________________ The Depression Center Support Team.

I've found throughout all my years, I've always have had some major crud to pull through and I think all the stress has gone to my neck, shoulders, and upper back. I can't allow anyone to massage it because of how it tenses up and hurts to much. So I am looking for some exercizing methods, and breathing methods I could learn that would help....(I think it would be better to learn than taking pills)[/b][/i]
