Trouble Rating Depression/Anxiety

18 years ago 0 39 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Lotsabudda, I agree, and have just started too, I too find it hard to rate my level of depression. Anxiety however is easier to rate. I am looking forward to starting the second session but will have to wait til weekend to do so. How are you getting on? Moth

Hi Lotsabudda I also had difficulty rating my mood before I made my mood thermometer as explained in the 2nd session. I hope this helps you as it did for me SarahL

Dear lotsabuddha, Fellow members may be responding soon, but please keep in mind th there really isn't a right or wrong way to do this. The important thing is that you make the steps of the program meaningful to your own experiences. It is up to you how you want to rate your feelings as only you can truly understand how deeply something affects you or not. I guess there's probably no good answer to my question now that I think about it.

Hi there. I just started the program and I'm having real trouble rating my depression and anxiety. I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is a 20 or a 40, a 50 or a 70, etc. Sometimes it's even sort of hard to tell if I'm depressed at all at a specific moment (anxiety is easier for me to be sure of in this respect for some reason). Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to be more precise about these sorts of things. I worry that the ratings I'm writing down are too willy nilly to do me any good or something.
