down I think you should look for community resources..such as womens support groups, mental health groups. you can't just wait for the system to take care of you. writing here is a good first step. try writing a journal about your feelings. try not to get upset with your husband...his reaction appears to be quite typical. depression is not a logical sort of ailment to many people. all the best bob

down, You have come to the right place! Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find our Depression Test. This test is not a diagnostic tool and is not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This may help better assess the situation. Please post as often as you like, our members are very knowledgeable and supportive. If you have any question or concerns with our site or please contact Support Department at support@depressioncenter.net. We are open to any questions or concerns you may have. I know how you feel....always crying and scared but if you just ask your doctor for some help you'll see that you can get better. Asking for help is the hardest part but once you do it you're on your way. You're not being a "drama queen" you really do have a problem. If you can't ask your doctor call a hotline at the hospital and tell them what's going on. They'll put you in touch with someone who can diagnose you and provide the treatment you need. Good Luck.

hi there: I don't understand what is going on with me, I am so lost and so alone , I don't even know if I have depression or I am just playing the victim. I am an outgoing person, I smile all the time and make everybody's life easy, but when I am alone at home (right now) I can't stop crying and feeling I want to die. The most stupid little things worry me to death, so much that I can't sleep . For example I have to go in 3 months to an appointment with the doctor and I am so scared about it I couldnt stop crying last night , I cried for hours until I finally slept. Nobody knows about this problem, i am so confussed. I did try to tell my husband about it but he doesn't seem to understand, he truly believes I am playing the victim and I am a drama queen. But I don't know anymore , I am so scared to talk about this to a doctor , who could possibly understand how scared I am? , how do you go to the doctor when it is probably your worst fear?. I am here today because the past 2 weeks have been a complete hell and because last night I catched myself thinking I should probably die and actually saw myself dying by my own hand.
