Sometimes thinking of the past can be healthy to . We all need to reevaluate why do the things that we do and how we can make postive changes in our lives we use the past experinces to learn from them so don't listen to people. Go with it let it go and live a happy life. You are a great person and being sad sometimes is part of life, Enjoy the New Year have any New Year's resoultions I have tons HAHA Take care jojo :)

Hi there Are those of us who are depressed living in the past? Sometimes I get so confused. I tried sharing with others about depression but have been told to stop living in the past. And, yet my depression is about the past. I tried resolving the past by talking to counsellors, etc. Most of the time I could snap out of them but then I backslide and now at almost 50 years of age, I thought what is the point and is now seeking a way out, hence my suicidal thoughts. And, my will to live must be strong. Take for example, the username I created for this forum - nuhope or new hope. If anyone would like to share their experiences with me, I would like to read their postings. Thanks for listening.
