Hi merry58, Welcome to the site. Thanks for sharing your story with us. You will see that this site is full of supportive individuals who know what it is like to expereince depression. It is a great place to share your feelings and experiences of depression. Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find our Depression Test. This test is not a diagnostic tool and is not a replacement or substitute for a physician's advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When you're finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. If you have any question or concerns with our site or please contact Support Department at support@depressioncenter.net. We are open to any questions or concerns you may have. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Casey __________________________________ The Depression Center Support Team

hello everyone. i am new to this site and am looking forward to discussions with others who are experiencing the same kind of problems that i am experiencing. i used to be a very upbeat, confident person but something has changed in the last several months and i have not been able to regain my former self. i did seek help when i realized that i was not going to be able to fix things myself. it is tough for me to admit that i am depressed as i have always considered myself a very strong person and view myself as weak because i am depressed. i rationally know that i am ill, not weak but it is still a truggle for me to accept that i am not weak or a failure. i started medication about 8 weeks ago and have had to have my dose adjusted twice. i am also undergoing psychotherapy. i must say i am finally starting to feel better although i still have more bad days that good days right now but i am hoping that will soon change.
