Red, Thanks for the reassurance. My nausea was something I forgot today at the doc, but I got something done. If I have to see him again, I will.

 Hi Hugs..
It's good to see you getting out again with a lecture on winterizing this evening..A change of scenery is a good thing..
Doing a little each day I found is the best way..

Today I worked on the straightening up the garage again and came across some personal papers from years ago that I still needed to shred. So I spent a good bit of time doing just that today..Taking things one day at a time is what works for me.
Even if it takes what seems like years sometimes and unexpected things pop up that I missed before. That's ok too. These things happen and are to be expected except now I am not so bothered or upset by these little side steps like I was before because I was ready to deal with them now, where as before I wasn't.

All in good time they say..
Take Care...

Thanks to Jaydee & David, and those who are out there empathizing we me. I wish to honour my mom's memory, and get out of this fog. It's hard not to get caught up in the frenzy that people are in, and those coming to this website know how anxiety robs us of the present, and those we love(or hate!). It's so disturbing to wake and feel that raw feeling, right through a mass service. I haven't a break since my father's death at barely 16, when I began working part-time, and through a career and the 5 years caring for mom to passing. I hope my heart is vulnerable enough to allow some tlc. Tonight I'm going to a talk on winterizing. It seems as though I was in a severe car accident, since I can't remember where I was before the summer when this started....but people say all things pass.

Hugs,

I have to agree with Davit on this one. Nobody knows you better than you know yourself and nobody can make a decision for you. People can/will always suggest what they think is best for you, its natural behavior, but not necessarily what is right for yourself or your situation. You have a right to assert yourself. You have a right to as much TLC as you need.

Why do you need a job? You have paid your dues, more than enough I think. Do what you feel is right and ignore everyone else. No one has a right to make decisions for you.
I believe this is called being assertive.

Hi Davit, Nice to hear from you. I think I feel some pressure from some relatives who are pressuring me to "get a job", when I have been working at a frenetic pace without a pause for 5 years since retiring early to care for my mom. There's some irrational guilt I feel for having time now, and I need some Tlc, not someone else's assignment to more stressful behaviour(alzeheier's runs in her family too, so maybe there's some connection to the faulty lecture). Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, I can choose what to choose. There seems to be some "need" to feel stressed, since it's been plaguing me for a lifetime, but now there's no gun at my head, no parent to care for...she's safe and has her "eternal reward".

My advice would be simple. You have a choice as I see it. Get less than you want done or get nothing done. :-) .
Accept that you will have more to do right now than you can get done. Pick out one thing and do it till it is done or can be set aside and do another.  You won't get what you want done maybe but you will get something done and that is better than nothing. And since I have done this I know how hard it is to do.

There are so many uncertainties now, that I wonder what to do.

I wonder if others experience nausea, and how they deal with it? I've been experiencing it as I realize mom is no longer in my life, and the uncertainty around the future.
