Hello Hugs4u,

Thank you for sharing your personal victory. It is always nice to hear about these moments.

Members, does anyone else have a victory to share?

Hi Davit,
I know what you mean by accepting some things.  Maybe  it's drain of the 5 weeks of construction noise, and having too many stresses over a short period of time.

The only settings are low, medium and high, with 3 levels of noise.  I'm going to try hers.

Mom has already accepted hers, although I'm a little uncomfortable with the controls and have to have the manual nearby.  Maybe what I'll is buy one for myself on Cybermonday in early December!

I have found over the years I can tolerate noise if it belongs there. So obviously mice in the wall would not be acceptable or dripping taps but a humidifier I could get used to. For me that is the criteria. How loud it is doesn't matter. My tractor is noisy but it is supposed to be. Could you set it on foam so it isn't so noisy.

I got over the fear of this humidifier not being perfect, after showing it off to mom, and it's a beauty

Personally I'm not sure I can cope with any noise, so I'm going to try her old one, but I might just have try making something by connecting a wide duct to the vent in the wall.

Hi Davit,
I think I just took a wrong step in the dark a week or so ago...but I was almost sure it was the other foot.  I guess in the dark, left and right can be mixed.

Beware of aspartame, not only does it break down to formaldehyde, a known carcinogenic but it can give you very sore joints.

Thanks Davit.  I woke this morning after a night of stomach pain(probably eating late) and ankle pain(don't know why) and the realization that I shouldn't be buying the product I bought, since it produces ozone, which triggers asthma.

Sometimes information is a dangerous thing, and maybe I should put a sign on my computer:

DON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU THINK

I'm not certain that I use information productively

One small step for man, one giant step for sanity. Congratulations, only we here can know just what you did. Only you will know how hard it was.

With the heating season having begun, I found I was emotionally drained by the indecision surrounding buying a humidifier, and broke a bad habit today of putting it off, by actually purchasing it.

An old one I have was noisy, and my parent actually needs it, since it has a responsive technology, unlike older models which just keep running.

I feel a great weight off my shoulders, and can't wait to open the box, and set it up in the morning. It will be like Christmas day!
