I was given a headlamp.  It is a flashlight attached to your head on a headband, and  illuminates your path, and is hands free, in white and red light with a switch. 
 
I can see the dust on the stairs, so I can tackle the cleaning with more awareness, ahead of the time to do that(and it's long overdue!)
 
I can also use it for emergencies, and to help with caregiving, wound care, etc.
