Getting Ready for Tomorrow!!!

Kendall, Wow, such great posts and I can't really add much. I am excited for you and send you many virtual positive thoughts your way as you approach your quit tommorow. The stressed feeling you are haveing can only be compared to that of a race horse at the starting gate...you are about to run the race of your life and every part of you is tense in anticipation of that gate slamming open for you to take off. These first days are gonna be tough...but there is zero doubt in my mind that you can do this. We are here when you need us...just holler! 15 Days!

ShawnX, I did pretty much the same thing you did and wow...it was so much better than I could have even imagined! My vacation was for 2 weeks so that by the time I came back home...I was already well on my way to success. It really did help me to be completely out of my normal comfort zone while going through the actual withdrawl...and I was around people who, for the most part, did not smoke...and I was nearly joined at the hip to my new love, (who doesn't smoke and is very supportive of my desire to quit,)so opportunities to slip were diminished to nearly NONE. Congratulations on your 15 days...I know you must be proud! Frustrated

I can't get page two to open up for me...it says it isn't available. Anyone having the same troubles? Interestingly...I can see all the posts when I go to post on the thread. Very odd. Cuddles, you are so awesome. The determination I see in your posts is what's going to bring you through these tough times....and of course, all the wonderful folks here to encourage us, uplift us and hold our feet to the fire. So glad you are hanging in there hon! Need some thought on Hookah Bars!

Igray, The stuff you put in the tray at Hookah bars, to burn in the Hookah, is still tobacco. It may be flavored and all, but it still has the nicotine and other chemicals going into your system. Just because the smoke gets filtered through water via the tubing, doesn't mean the smoke gets 'washed' of its harmful substances. I would think this is dangerous for ya as an ex-smoker. Need some thought on Hookah Bars!

A Hookah is usually a decorative ceramic bowl, in many shapes and colors, that holds water in the base and has several tubes coming out of the base. Atop the Hookah is a tray where there is a hole directly under it (with a screen to keep the tobacco from falling through to the water below). The tobacco is burned in the tray. Each smoker grabs a tube and pulls the smoke down the tube, through the water and into their lungs. Its still considered smoking folks!
