Hang in there Pitstop. This too shall pass. Give it 10 minutes. Know in your heart that you are doing the right thing. This is doable. You are no longer killing yourself like your co-worker.
I am proud of you.

Hi all.........thanks for the welcome back. I knew you would all be here waiting for me and I am grateful.
Day 3 - didn't sleep very good. Oh well, I will try again tonight. Did not want to get up, was dreaming about smoking. That did not happen last time. That nicodemon sure will try anything, huh? Thank God for my supportive husband, although last night he said he would give me 2 weeks to get over this and I'd better keep quit this time because he doesn't want to have to go through all the emotional bs again. On the one hand I was mad, but on the other hand he is right. I need to be done and I keep praying for God to remove the obsession.
The only good thing about relapsing is that now I know that I can't have "just one". I was right back to where I was in my smoking in a matter of days.
Again, glad you are all here.
NOPE!

I pray this is the last time I will have to introduce myself as a newcomer.
Tax season is over so I have no more excuses. Just one day at a time.
Today is day 2, so far so good, but I have a long memory. I know this is going to be a hard road, but I remember how good I felt. I worked out yesterday and already I could breathe better.
Glad you are all here.
Thank you.

Hang in there Bingo.
Please do not cave. It is so not worth it. Take it from me, I just came back after blowing 3 months smoke free. I am so glad to be back, I already feel better, mentally and physically. I am no longer a slave to nic.
The first month is tough, but like everyone here says - "It does get easier". This is doable.

Hey Smiley,
Try to keep the nasty skanky part fresh in your mind.
I am coming back after a momentary lapse of reason (2 months) and they (cigs) are so gross. It is so not worth it and I did feel like I let myself down.
Keep the quit, stay strong. No romance, only reality. And the reality is death if you smoke. :eg:

Wait for me too!
Check out my stats..............YEAH ME!!!!!!!!
Very bittersweet milestone for me. I have good news and really bad news. The bad is that my father has lung cancer after quitting for 25 years! He smoked 3 packs a day for 40+ years. Unfortunately I guess the damage is done. Please pray for him, it doesn't look good. Doctor's are giving him 2 years.
The good news is that I just found out I am having a boy! And he will be strong and healthy and never know his parents as smokers! Thanks SSC!
N.O.P.E again!
