I once had a 2 year quit going. When did I start back up? literally in the middle of moving across country, by myself, on my motorcycle. I guess that was a combination of stress and lonliness? Maybe I wanted my old buddy, a cigarette, back again? Beat's me, but that really upset me. It has taken me 3 years to quit again... and I really HATE them dang cig's !!! like you pointed out greger.... "this time is different".... NOPE
cheers

just the other day, I was about to stop for coffee, and then changed my mind. I was scared that it would make me want a smoke and bring the cravings on, so I turned the coffee down. Not quite ready yet for that, but will be soon... I do enjoy my fancy latte's :)
cheers, quig

lol mammakitty.... I'm with you.. high fives !!!! hehehehe. You put it perfectly when you said that while being a smoker, you can't hang out for long until you get "edgy"... but with cravings they are less frequent, so this IS much better !!! I don't make my latte's, I tell the people working counters "I'll have one latte please :) "
cheers

As the topic title says, I'm going on vacation for a week. Any suggestions for dealing with vacations, especially so soon after quitting? As I'll be in new places, I have a feeling that urges may come on more frequently and/or strongly... I'm unsure. Although, I do know that it'll be nice not being in a hurry to get off the plane so that I can run outside and smoke even before getting my luggage !! :)
cheers, quig

what a bunch of whack-a-doos on here !!! just kidding....
unhooked..... exactly what part of you is unhooked? you seem pretty wild :)
1) i can easily be reminded how cig's affect my health
2) I discovered that patio fun is encouraged by the ex-smoking sub-culture on the world's stage
3) the ssc gave me the idea to take $20 a week and put it away... then every 6 months I will use it to buy something for myself that will last a lifetime (my first will be super nice kitchen knives...)
4) beautiful women
