Hello. I told my live-in girlfriend that I was quitting today. I finished all my cigarettes last night. On my way out the door going to work, I saw a single cigarette. I grabbed it and lit up, but I truly hope that it was the last cigarette that I will have. So, here I am, and I just wanted to say hello and to wish me luck...had kind of a bad start but I can do this...
cheers, quig
thank you all for your support !!!! My g/f and I went straight to the store last night after work and I got a bunch of chocolate as a reward to myself ... I find the day times easy to not smoke, but its in the evenings when I am just sitting at home that I find difficult. But that's okay, just part of getting over it. I can't wait to have these things out of my mind again !!! I have quit several times; once for 2 years, and most recently for about 6 months.. but started back up again about 5 months ago.. so I think that I can finally get this to stick... I'm babbling, sorry, but it really is somewhat therapeutic to ramble about not liking cigarettes... they always made me feel like "ship".... thanks again for your responses I love them !!!
cheers, quig
Hello, I am curious to know if there is any link to smoking and snoring? For some reason I have the suspicion that smokers may be either more frequent and/or intense snorers than non-smokers...does anybody have any knowledge or opinions on this?
cheers, quig

hehehe...hi there, that is a funny story thanks for sharing it. I too hope that you don't find anymore soon in unsuspecting locations. I'm in a similar boat...i'm sure that I will, within the next week or so...find cig's in places that I wouldn't expect.
Cheers and keep sayin' nope....

The morning of day 4 arrives.
I long for my morning cigarette.
Feelings of loss, unaware
of reality, crazy ups where I feel
on top of the earth followed by
downs where the only reprieve from life
would be to smoke a cigarette.
Yet I don't smoke. Somehow, through all
the intense emotions, irritability that I
put my girlfriend through, the constant
inability to actually DO work while I'm at work,
I somehow, magically, am able to resist smoking.
probably because I **+$*$ ing hate them? :)

This weekend, of course, proved to be somewhat difficult, yet I am soo much happier not smoking !!! So friday night my significant other and I go out to eat at this great place called crawdaddies...and they have blues music there. Excellent food.... unfortunately I wasn't thinking and ordered a strong cocktail... next thing I knew was that the ONLY thing that I could think about was smoking. It was extremely intense. Although we each wanted to stay, my g/f was kind enough to suggest we leave since I literally couldn't stand the cravings anymore. As soon as we got in the car and started going home the cravings began to subside...whew !!! I didn't smoke !!! .. also, I will refrain from drinking for a couple more weekends at a minimum :)
cheers, Quig
