Yesterday my cravings returned pretty strong, and today even stronger. I feel like it is getting soooo hard to resist the cravings. I went into the gas station this morning, and there, behind the counter, were not JUST cigarettes. For some reason my mind's eye has begun staring down the chewing tobacco. I think that maybe my junkie mind is trying to tell me that chewing tobacco will be acceptable.. just once or twice to curb my cigarette cravings, because at least I will not be smoking. Of course I know, right now, that this is absurd, but a sick, sick part of me wants to buy some!!! I can't wait for when the cravings drop substantially and I can get this out of my life. Thank you for listening....

hey bold, just becasue you had a couple of smokes does not mean that you failed. Toss out the rest of that pack, dont' buy more, and continue not smoking. Your body will not return to the way it was during hell week.... it'll be okay... just get back to quitting. You will be happy with your decision tomorrow...

I agree with John. NRT's don't make sense to me. I quit cold turkey. Seems like, to me, NRT's delay and lengthen the withdrawal period, but I could be wrong. Doesn't really matter as long as you quit eh? I do, however, chew a ton of gum... not nico-gum just the typical store brand. But, honestly, without chewing gum this would be harder for me...

hey mamma. Just continue reminding yourself of why you are quitting smoking. You are greatly improving yourself!!! The cravings will pass with time, and right now is the most difficult part. The longer you go the easier the cravings will get. Please don't smoke. You know deep down that you don't want to smoke. Do what lainey said. Chew gum. Eat chocolate. Do whatever you want except smoke.
