Having a rough morning

I'm not sure what is going on with me today. I woke up at 3:30am craving a cigarette worse than I have so far in this quit. Before I quit I never woke up in the middle of the night wanting to smoke. Then when I got up this morning, I was (still am) in a HORRIBLE mood. I've snapped at my husband, cried, and now feel guilty for snapping at him before he went to work. I have no idea what set all of this off, so I'm really not sure how to cope with it. Maybe just venting here will work for a while. Having a rough morning

I feel like I don't even know who I am since I quit smoking. Today could be a very long day. Having a rough morning

Thank you Casey and everyone else. I know that I used to smoke in response to anger or frustration. I think lack of sleep due to waking up in the middle of the night and realizing how much of the household chore load I carry set me off this morning. It's early yet, but I think I'm gonna take a nap. Having a rough morning

blue cloud, I'm still getting my nicotine through the patch, but I take it off at night and haven't put my new one on yet today...so you could be on to something there. I actually think the 1st week (HELL week) was not as difficult as HECK week is thus far. Or maybe I just think that because it is behind me. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 8 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 120 Amount Saved: $27.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 18 Mins: 3 Seconds: 31

A new moment.. A new day #2

Great idea Sam! As my other thread today states, earlier today was really rough for me. I coped my coming here, posting, and taking a nap instead of running out to the store for a pack of smokes. I just need to keep telling myself that I can do this!
