Phil, my good news is that I'm at 35 days without a smoke... and quitting still hasn't killed me or driven me mad.
Imagine that? :)

Jean, it's more likely that the stomach problems are associated with smoking cessation. That is a very common complaint linked to quitting.
Nicotine patches have their own list of disagreeable side-effects, though generally they're well tolerated. But stomach problems are not usually tied to the patch.
But obviously, if you have doubts... call your doc.

You know...it's actually very cool...
Here we are, a varied selection of people from all over the world, Canada, the U.S., Great Britain, Australia... and other countries... and in the month of March, 2007 we all decided, independant of one-another, that we'd had enough, that we wanted to reclaim our lives from the ravages of cigarette addiction.
And we all found our way to this place in cyber-space, looking for strength, information, courage and perhaps most importantly... a reason to believe.
And most of us come back here...every day. We watch one another struggle... and overcome. We encourage one-another, we believe in one-another... and when someone falls away, we grieve. We hope they'll be back, we hope that we won't be next... we hope that we can find whatever it takes to finally be free.
I'm glad we're all here today.
