I understand what your saying though. I used that "Stressful Job Crutch" on my previous quit attempt.
It worked for me as I went back to smoking after 5 days.
Although I don't have the same stressful job now that I had back then, I still have the stresses of self-employment. Stress is just part of all our lives. I'm choosing to deal with mine by not smoking.
3galeh! coined it correctly, "My advice would be to remember that the stress will be there, smoking or not. The stress does NOT go away after a smoke and now you feel even worse because you have blown a great quit!!!"
