Kat,
Is it hot in here? LOL...
I am burning up all the time...Which is absolutely crazy because I am usually freezing...Im figuring some of it has to do with the fact that our circulation is working again...lol...Dunno about the rest of it, but it's a nice change of pace not to be shivering through the winter for once...heh heh...
Keep up the good work!
Amy

Hi all...
I used the patch for the 1st week and that was that...The things made me itch and I didn't like the way I was feeling...I took it off Friday nite and never put another one on...I smoked for almost 19 years and used the 21mg patch for a week...I expected some wicked cravings and a condensed version of hell week...Neither...Weird...I feel just fine and actually a little more coherent now that the nicotine is out of my system...
Looks like there is a wide variety of experiences on this...
Good luck no matter what you decide...
Amy :)

Welcome aboard Dave!
That's as good a reason to quit as any other I think...Who wants to feel icky and unattractive? Yikes!
I havent had a smoke in 12 days and for sure I feel a lot better about myself...I smell better, my skin looks better, and I just feel healthier and better about myself!
The 1st few days were a bit rough but I have no regrets! Good luck to you...We are here when you need us...By all means join our February support group for us newbies as well...

I quit smoking 12 days ago...
I quit the patch one week later...so 5 days ago! YAY NEKKID!
I do not know how many seconds of the day I crave a cigarette...If I feel craving for one second I remind myself that I am a non-smoker and it goes away...
How often do I think about smoking? Every time I see or smell one, or smell it on someone, or do something I would have smoked during or after...So, several times a day i guess...
I can say that I feel soooo much better since I quit the patch...My head came out of the fog, I am not starving to death constantly, Im not quite as thirsty (I have never drank this much liquid in my life!), the sweats are not as bad...and I feel comfortable saying I am a non-smoker now that I am nicotine free!
Good luck to everyone!
Amy :)

Hi Rissa,
Hope you are doing alright still...
Only you can decide what is right for you...However,all my friends smoke also...And I also enjoy drinking and going out as well...
I went out the night after I quit (although I waited til last call to see how it would go...figured I would have a better excuse to leave...lol...like I needed one!)
That went fine...I have been out to the bars a few times, been around my smoking friends, etc... It is just fine with me...I don't seem to be bothered by it as far as cravings go...I just think...
That smoking stinks!
Keep your quit!
Amy :)
