association. I felt the same way. I cut out cigarettes at my house, in my car and around certain peoeple months ago. The office was the last place I smoked. So naturally it was the place where my cravings were strongest. Don't give in. You'll get used to breathing normally and not being one of those stinky smokers soon enough. 4 Day Vacation Harder Than I Thought

I thought for some reason that a 4 day vacation with my sweetheart and her mom / mom's boyfriend, etc. wouuld be easy sailing for me to almost get through week 2 of my quit. Boy was I wrong. We went to Mexico (Rocky Pointe), stayed on a house on the beach. It was gorgeous and I had a good time... when I wasn't thinking about smoking. Every trip I've had to a beach or a vacation has had smoking in it. I made it through and feel stronger. Aside from the urges I had a blast and wouldn't have passed it up, even with the pain I went through to not smoke. Anyway, still smoke free, just wanted to let some people know that a trip in the middle of week 2 might be a little more difficult than you anticipated. I had a great time, but from a smoking standpoint I was in a little bit of trouble. Good thing my girlfriend was there to talk / cuddle with. Cig and NRT free - how many seconds a day do you still want a cigarette?

1. Been cold turkey since day one.... so it's 13 days so far. 2. More than I'd like to admit. 20 to 25 minutes probably. 3. About as many times as I used to smoke one. So 12 - 18 depending on the day (weekend, etc.) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 13 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 134 Amount Saved: $32.5 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 9 Mins: 28 Seconds: 29

Dizzy Doodle in my Noodle

I was pleasantly surprised by this spacy feel. It was like having my first cigarette all over again. Fitting that the first feeling you get when you smoke is the same feeling you get when you quit. I'm 14 days into it and still get that "stretched body" feeling. Expected to Fail

I'm 2 weeks done now, and am surprising many people at my progress. Mostly at work. My positive attitude towards quitting is fading fast. They expect me to fail, even those that were gun hoe for me to quit. How do I keep my spirits up? Expected to Fail

Feels like I need something new. Some new form of motivation. Just holding on isn't really enough for me. I need to be pro-active. Especially here at work. Like a new habit. It's funny how un-satisfying chewing gum and drinking coffee can be. Anyone else got some fun stuff they do to make the time go? Two weeks seems like an eternity for me. I've never gotten this far, and I keep going simply because it is uncharted territory. Not bad for a guy that didn't really plan or want to quit. I just dove in head first I guess. Expected to Fail

Lady -- EXACTLY!! I've been feeling this for a while. I live with 3 roommates, none of which smoke. For the first few days up to the first week, I was more of a science project than anything else. They would ask for the daily update wondering what kind of brown gross stuff I had hacked up today, or how light headed I was. They would even test to see how cranky I was. I was poked, prodded and probed. I have to admit it was nice to be the center of attention for a few minutes out of everyday. Now all that is gone. I tell them that I have made it two weeks and I get the 'oh that's great'. To me it is. To me it's the greatest F'in thing ever. It's like a girlfriend, you celebrate the first week, the 2 week anniversary, the first month, etc etc. Until it just turns into a yearly thing. Although my quit, doesn't really get all excited with me when I get happy about 2 weeks. My real girlfriend does, and she is great. She re-affirms my quit all the time, but for some reason I've been missing something on the inside. Something that I need to do. Can't quite put my finger on it.
