I am at 83 glorious days today and last week I went ahead and planned my 100 day reward !! I am going to a resort in Mexico for three days with a few of my friends so I will actually be at the beach shortly after my 100 day mark. I am amazed at how good I feel giving myself this reward. To anyone that is not rewarding themselves regularly for their great feat of quitting , YOU MUST BE GOOD TO YOURSELF !!! Small or large the rewards must keep coming !!!!! CJ :) ;)

I have been coming to this post for 84 days today. I do not post as often as I use to but I do come in here and read every day. I "hope" that I will get to your stats some day Bubba and you should be EXTREMELY proud. I agree with you that preparation helps. I cut down for weeks before my quit date. I found this site and came in here on day one. I also used the nicotrol inhaler and it helped me as well. This site however, helped me more than anything. I think everyone on here would be there to help anyone that needs it no matter how many times they have tried and failed. I do not post as much as I use to, but I would like to think that maybe something I have or will say will be the reason that someone makes it through a bad time or stays quit finally after numerous tries. Thanks for the great post and again congratulations on your wonderful stats. CJ

Lady: I dont know what to say as my heart is breaking for you. I watched my mother do the same thing but of course at that time I also smoked as it was 10 years ago. I had no idea at that time what I was seeing but I think about it all the time now and I miss her dearly. I only wish I would have tried to get her to stop smoking but just like with your dad, I doubt it would have made ANY difference. Everyone has to make this decision and until they are ready it dont matter what they are doing to themselves or their family they cannot see it or are blind to it. That nasty nicodemon has some good tricks. Again I am SOOO sorry you are going through this but know that our thoughts and prayers are with you each minute. CJ
