Junk in my Truck got me in a Funk !!!

I know that when you quit smoking weight gain is an issue that you need to count on. Dont get me wrong I am very happy that I am quit, but this weight gain is getting me a little down I will admit. I work out 25 minutes at lunch ( eliptical and treadmill) and another 30-40 minutes after work and I still have gained weight. I eat healthy and am beginning to feel that no matter what I do I am destined for the gain. I am sure it will balance out eventually but at this point 90 days into my quit I am just a little frustrated. Just needed to vent as I am sure I am not the only one whose metabolism has HALTED. Guess I just want to hear that I am not the only one experiencing this and also would like to know if anyone has any idea when this will level out. Thanks all !!! Has anyone else cried in the dressing room???

Goldie: I am going to Mexico in March in celebration my 100 days anniversary, and went to try on swimsuits the other day !!!! SCARED MYSELF TO DEATH !!! haha. I posted a thread earlier because I am soooo frustrated with this weight issue. I have smoked since I was 14 and I am 45 now so I really dont know what my "normal" metabolism is. I know exactly what you are going through. I am sharing in your tears !!!haha. Friends smoking in front of me

RissaRoo: I had the same problem when I quit as most of my close friends smoke. I did however ask them to be considerate of the fact that I had quit and they did. I did not go anywhere that triggered my cravings which was a bar etc... I even gave up a girls weekend to avoid a slip. My suggestion would be to stay away from any situation that might question your quit until you are further along. Giving up a few good times now will be worth it later. smoking families

Butterfly: Both of my parents smoked. My mom actually let me start smoking at home at 15 when she found out I smoked so I would not be out with gangs smoking "other things" . That sounds pretty funny now.
