The Daily Diet Watch IV

Charlie Girl, one of the diet rules is that Valentine's chocolate has no calories! HAHAHAHA! The bad news is that you can't throw it out, because then husband will be confused and paralyzed when it's time to buy you a gift again. So put it in the freezer. That way, you can take a piece out every now and then and by the time it thaws, you will eat it very, very slowly and it won't hurt you. Or, you could just do like me and eat all of it in two days. :p I've been on the road since Sunday afternoon. For lunch Sunday, I stopped at Border's and ate a healthy-looking sandwich and drank some tea. For supper I ate leftover pizza I had brought with me. Monday I ate yogurt and GoLean for breakfast, chicken salad sandwich for lunch, and grilled salmon and steamed veggies for dinner. Today, more yogurt and GoLean, then a pasta bowl at Applebee's on my way home. Dinner will be little steaks and some kind of something else. I don't think I did too bad on my trip, except I need to stay away from the high-calorie Chai Lattes from Starbucks. I bought a little portable DVD player for my trips, so I can take Leslie wherever I go now! New-B

Hi Laurie, and welcome. 36 days is just great and I salute you! I also had anger issues and grieving issues early on. A lot of soul searching, some counseling, and a lot of prayer and meditation helped me through. You'll also find a lot of friends here on this site and they will help you, too. They won't walk away if you whine too much! For someone who is really struggling.............

Brent and Shevie, you two are very kind and wise souls. I'm sure that our dog groomer friend can feel the love and hugs that you are surrounding her with. For others reading this thread, please know that everyone's struggle is different. Some have an easier time than others. Some have a more physical quit, while others may be more emotional (that was me.) But everyone has this one thing in common: the only way to quit is to not ever take another hit off a cigarette. Whatever you have to do, you must make the quit your number one priority if you are to succeed. If you have to hide yourself in a Buddhist monastery or on a desert island or just in your bedroom under your covers, do whatever it takes. Recognize this for what it is: full-blown addiction. There is no other way. Jury Duty

Now katiescarlett, you know very well that those smokers laughing because they finally got their fix to ease those every-30-minute withdrawals. They were passing the time by using drugs. Aren't you glad you don't have to do that anymore? Stay strong! There are 30 Roses....

Gaby, you are so very fortunate to have a supportive family. At 30 days, I wouldn't have been surprised if my husband gave me 30 dead roses along with divorce papers! You are doing great!!!
