My heart is heavy for Bubba's family this morning and for those of you here who developed such close friendships with him here and away from here.
I wasn't crazy about his methods but I always knew his heart was in the right place. He was so passionate about his quit.
It will be different here not having him hop in from time to time to brag about his stats and continue to say 'it is worth it' in spite of his health problems..

Aloh, I was convinced that each day I got behind me got me closer to my goal of being a non smoker. I watched the clock and counted the days.
I called it the 'do whatever you have to do but JUST DON'T SMOKE this day' method. I slept alot and did have glasses of wine.
My quit got started after a doc scared me sh*tless. He told me the ONLY cure to the sore (pre cancer) that was in my mouth was to not smoke. I believed him and I will thank him forevermore. It was a hard and scared quit but I put in the time and now I am released. I lost that little bit of weight and never felt so good and healthy.
Luna and Penitent, I love it when you two come out to play. You've been so loyal and kind to me and I thank you so much.
Luna, thank you for forgiving me for flirting with your man all that time ago. My husband has forgiven me too although at the time he said "Now I'm going to have to kill him!".
Just kidding y'all. I just couldn't resist.... ;)
