Stress

My job is working a supervisory line for a contact center. Several times during the day I have calls transferred to me for somebody to ream me out and swear and blame all lifes problems on me. Happened today earlier and the first thing I wanted to do was smoke...but I didnt. I am really trying to figure out how to handle these situations without taking my perscription meds. Deep breathing helps some, but not enough. I am relearning myself I guess. My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 55 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,650 Amount Saved: $206.25 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 12 Mins: 42 Seconds: 23

Stress

yes, and I actually do that, it just seems, and I have been told that I take things to heart and way to seriously all the time. I have been with the same company for twelve years and started out doing this and got out do to how I tended to let it wear on me. We had a change this last spring that threw me back into it after being out of it for seven years. I am trying several things right now, and you are right, we choose how to be, but I swear my mind sometimes chooses for me before I have a chance to react..that is kinda funny. But seriously, you wouldn't believe some of the excuses these people come up with...some are hilarious and some you want to jump through the phone and strangle them for even trying to play you for an idiot. I am going to start making a list and will post the best of them for you every once in awhile...we will make fun of it. Thanks for the reply..it helps when you know somebody read your post... :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 55 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,650 Amount Saved: $206.25 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 12 Mins: 47 Seconds: 57

having a bad day

my husband has really been down on me lately because of how I have changed. Although he is working up to a quit he hasn't yet, so I have that challenge, and he keeps thinking that at this point I should get over it already and move on. It is really exhausting to work all day and pretend all is fine and then be a mom and a wife all same way you were before, its exhausting. I know it is taking a toll on my family, but I put forth the best effort I can. If my husband even knew I was on this site he would have a fit, he is very jealous, that is why I post at work, or at home when he isn't there. My mood is down, thus today is going to be hard. Any suggestions from anyone? :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,680 Amount Saved: $210.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 14 Mins: 12 Seconds: 57

having a bad day

Thanks, I really need somebody to talk to at times. My worst urges come when I am under "sad" stress. I keep apologizing and trying to do better...I am so glad I have all of you out there. I to sometimes tell myself get a grip already!! But, like Lainey said, it is different for everybody and I have had a really difficult time. Maybe that frying pan isn't such a bad idea...I just wish I had a cast iron ones, I have the cheap tin ones, don't think thant would do much good!! :| My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,680 Amount Saved: $210.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 14 Mins: 15 Seconds: 44

having a bad day

Frying pans, rocks...I may end up in prison. ( But thinking about it sure helps). I do take the b's and they do help. This started out as a good day until he started coming down on me first thing. I am not going to let him get to me anymore today. You have all brought me up higher...thanks :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,680 Amount Saved: $210.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 14 Mins: 23 Seconds: 32

having a bad day

He actually bought me a tred mill to use when I started the quit, I might hop on there tonigh for a brisk run. Today it is 20 below 0, I am NOT going outside except to my car. So many of you have pictures by sunny beaches...I am so jealous. :p I am hoping that once our sun comes back...maybe by late June, I will start feeling a little better. This is just a bad time of year for me anyway..Lizzie, is that your dog? How beautiful!! I breed dogs, Daschunds and Golden Retrievers, love em, cause they ALWAYS love you. You know we have a hot tub and I haven't been in it months, maybe I will run then go in the hot tub and then blob out on the couch..what a treat. All this while the hubby is sitting on the floor with an ice bag from all the rocks and flying frying pans!! :) AND YES I AM GLAD I AM NOT STANDING OUTSIDE IN THIS CRAP..WHY DO I LIVE HERE YEAR AFTER YEAR...I WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR AN ANNOYING MISQUITO BITE RIGHT NOW!! :eg: My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 56 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,680 Amount Saved: $210.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 14 Mins: 29 Seconds: 8

having a bad day

my night was better, i decided to get a hair cut and color to do something for me. it helped and i was pretty relaxed the rest if the night. he eased up and became more supportive, he is down to about two cigs a day, maybe that us part of it that i need to recognize. i work the stupid late night manager line again today, but that means kids and dinner are his resposibility tonight. i do have a question, my hardest time if the day us waking up and still being all anxious about the morning cigarrette, did any of you have difficulty with one particular time of day that didn't want to let you go? By the way, i am using my daughters lap top and the shift keys don't work very well, i just wanted you to know my grammar wasn't that bad. Thanks for all the great advise, i have been down this road with him once before, we seperated for about a month due to his jealousy and over bearing personality. we'll see what happens, but i now know i have a wonderful group of people to talk to right here, not only about smoking but stupid boys too!! talk to you later hopefully, you keep me going on.l :) anybody heard from moss?
