Thank you all for remembering me. I am forever in your debt for being such an invaluable part of my quit. [Oh, this seems so inadequate compared to the novelette I composed earlier. I'll be in therapy for months over this...]
Cold Tukeys can only come up w/ so many words; then they run out.

That's a sentence you've taken so gracefully. Here's to an infinite number of months to come!
You're awesome. But I don't need to tell you that, ('cause everyone else will.)

Congrats on 6 months! It must be awesome to see how far you've come.
(Right behind you. Yeah, that's me pushing. I'm so impatient...)

Thank you for the words that explain exactly what happened to me: I was mentally "trying" so hard to quit that I couldn't take my mind off of it. Just what I try to tell my daughter: If you constantly think about failing, you probably will. Once I gave up the "fight" it suddenly became very simple: just don't smoke. That must sound so unbelievable to most early-quitters. I don't remember what I thought early in my quit because I was too busy thinking about quitting!
Thanks again, Joe. You continue to inspire and amaze us.

Welcome to the flock! There are several Floridians sneaking around, gettin' high on life w/all the Fresh Air we've discovered. Read & post often. The site has definitely been a huge help in my quit but, truth be known, these folks have affected every part of my life.
Cold Turkeys like to flock around.

Wow, what an awesome thing to do! I guess she's left by now but I just came across this and I am so warm & fuzzy right now, (very NOT like me,) I'm tempted to go be nice to someone...
The Mayan children looked up to her before; imagine how impressed they will be at her strength & determination to quit smoking! She will seem like a Super-Hero to them. Well, she is a Super-Hero. In the most amazingly human way.
Okay, I can't stand it anymore. I have to go find someone to hug.
