I'm very pleased to join the parade today. My reward is spending some time on this site today to remind myself of my commitment to myself to stay free of cigarettes.
And what a wonderful Monday it is! My mother's oncological surgeon just did a scope on her bladder and to everyone's amazement there doesn't seem to be any indication of cancer. She had a very advanced case of bladder cancer a a result of 60 years of smoking and had gone through 7 weeks of radiation late last summer. I have smoked for 30 years and am very proud to say I will never ever pick up another one!!!!
I was at afriend's house yesterday who smokes and for the first time in along time I not only craved but very briefly entertained the thought of buying a packet. The key word though is briefly. i did not smoke and I absolutely will not smoke today.
