I won't smoke today.  It's rainy, cold and miserable out today.  Boy am I happy I don't have to shiver out there anymore!  NOPE

Quit day set for 11/19/2012 Looking for support

I thought I would pass on something I had learned earlier in dealing with another addiction that I found extremely helpful.  To maximize your chance of quitting it is important to stay away from the people, places and things that may trigger your desire to smoke.  That is sometimes the most difficult part of the journey but it is also the most important.

My Mouth

Thanks for reminding us about the positive changes in our health Sly.  As time goes on, we kind of forget and accept it as the new normal.

What if? Part II

LOL. In the past I would have stormed the closest store to stockpile cigarettes.  I would have rather starved than be without my precious smokes!  Excitement of any kind (good or bad) is such a trigger.  I find it harder to cope with than any other emotion when it comes to not lighting up.   I'm sure you made it through the election smoke free.

I will not smoke today . . . .despite being annoyed and bored at work today!!!

this election

Religion and politics?  I only see Working On It mentioning the election as a stressor and in terms of it being a trigger.
