How?s she goin? b?ys?

Thanks, Willis.

So far, so good. I find myself wanting to log in here more often today than yesterday, when I was wearing a patch... so it's definitely on my mind. But I could never go back to smoking. :( The idea disgusts me. I've truly had enough. I just want it to be easy is all, hahaha.

Relapse

It's very good you came back so quickly--after just one month! Bravo! :) With guts like that I'm sure you'll do very well with this quit!

Your Top 3- Lessons of the Week

1. A lot of customer service workers have jobs where they are literally punching bags. They have to complaints from the public but are absolutely not authorized to fix anything. Their job is to just sit there and take the abuse, to be a buffer between the customer and the decision maker who is screwing up. So be especially nice to them--even nicer than you should just generally be to everyone!

2.  Nicotine lozenges are sssooo much better than the gum. I know I'm getting all the nicotine because I consume the entire lozenge. That helps me (now that I've finished the patch) make sure I'm cutting down on the amount of nicotine I consume every day.

3. People can fundamentally change if they believe those changes are a beneficial improvement.

How?s she goin? b?ys?

Ooh... the withdrawals are stronger than I wanted. It's fine, they're not cravings at all... just withdrawals. But I was hoping it'd be easy.

I'm a little sweaty and anxious, that's about it.

SSC is a lifesaver!!!!

It's so nice to read your post, Jan. :)

I can't wait until I can say I've been an ex-smoker for 3.5 years! Fantastic. I wonder how much healthier and wealthier I'll be then? So much to look forward to!

Monday Morning Stats Parade

It's Day 60, $900 saved, and I'm still going strong. :) I've finished the patch and am now just using nicotine lozenges.

Congratulations, everyone, on doing so well! :) Very exciting!

How?s she goin? b?ys?

Thanks so much, Eya. :) And congratulations to you too!

We can't go back now. I wouldn't even want that, even if there were no health risks and smoking was cheap. Just the smell is disgusting...

At my work, one other smoker has already quit. She started just after my major attempt in March. And another smoker started wearing the patch yesterday. And a third smoker is preparing herself for a serious quit attempt in September.

Now I just have to get my partner to try again, hahaha. ;) Trying to lead by quiet, subtle, passive example. I don't even bring it up--and I notice my partner is really talking more and more and more about quitting. :D So, progress.
