Citisci:
Congratulations on your decision to quit! Be positive! You don't have to fear anything; there is no downside to this decision. But you really need to quit. The quit is all about you. You have to stay posit5ive. You are not leaving a friend behind, you are breaking apart of your worst enemy. If you are running away from your slaver, shouldn't you be happy?
You have to desire to quit. You have to make a nonnegotiable decision to stop smoking. From the bottom of your heart! If we can do it, you can do it too. Must of us have gone trough failed quitting experiences. But this is a positive thing. On those previous quits we learned a lot about our own addiction. So you should be not be afraid of quitting! It's a challenging but empowering experience. And you have us. You have great counselors and great fellow quitters that had made all the difference for me! You deserve to live a smokefree life.
Like Rock, I want to recommend you the Allen Carr's book: SAtop Smoking the Easy Way. It gives you a positive approach to the quitting process.
