Citisci, Welcome to the SSC! You've completed all of the exercises under "my program", so you're off to a good start! Are you using a NRT like chantix or the patch or are you going cold turkey? I would search for these types of topics to see how other members used them. Read, read, and read some more. Many people like Alan Carr's book, look at some of the posts from Marivi and others who read his book. Have you put together a reward system to celebrate each passed cravings, each smoke free day, and each smoke free week? For me, I told everybody I knew that I was going to quit so they could help keep me accountable, but in the back of my mind this quit was all about ME!!! Nobody else! I want you to say to yourself "This quit is all about ME!!!" I threw away all of my ashtrays, cigarette packs, lighters, etc. when I first quit. I had somebody clean the house and car. I rearranged furniture where I used to smoke. I read what seemed like EVERY posting here. I hope these suggestions help you to become FREE!!! We're all rooting for your success!!!
