Please come back when you can, and I am so sorry for what you're having to go through. When you're ready, you can remember how good it felt to go for 42 days without nicotine, and that will help. Good luck, Navychief- My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/29/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 50 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 759 Amount Saved: $200 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 12 Mins: 33 Seconds: 50

Navy Chief... even if you decide to continue to smoke, it is not necesarry for you to leave the site. There are a lot of people that are here prior to their quits and after relapses. Keep reading and getting the encouragement you need. You may actually read something that will help you get through your tough time and make you want to quit for good. You are part of this quit family and we are here to help in any way we can. Let us know how you are doing. NavyChief.. I don't know why you would want to give up the one good thing you have going for you right now. Quitting isn't easy but smoking certainly isn't going to make anything better. It will not bring your wife back or erase the affair. It seems like such a waste to throw away 42 days. I can understand the pain. But think again before you throw it all away. We are here when you are ready. NavyChief, I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, but like Lady said, smoking will not bring her back or make things not the way that they are. It just won't. You can hide behind a cigarette for a while, and if that's what you need to do for a while, then so be it... but I hope you come back soon and keep going on this journey we call quit... and life. Please come back soon. Crave the Quit! I'm sorry to hear about that, NavyChief. That's really the pits, man, I've been there myself (long, long ago). It's hard not to blame yourself, to not think you made it happen somehow. But that's not always the case. I have no idea about your relationship, but sometimes it doesn't matter what you do because it really has nothing to do with you and everything to do with her. Smoking isn't going to fix anything, but I can understand your need to minimize stress sources right now. Get yourself through this and come back when you're ready. We'll be waiting. Hi Cheif, Dealing with emotions and growing up emotionally...for me...is what it takes to remain smoke-free. You had a gr8 EXCUSE tos start smoking again & you took it. So not only did your wife succeed in hurting herself by cheating (b/c I'm sure it's her loss) but you allowed her to help you in hurting yourself too by smoking. Don't be the victim in the situation. U can use this experience in your life to help you to grow up and stronger emotionally rather than to weaken you. I wish you well :) People will come and go in our lives but you can always be honest with yourself and in my opinion that's what's most important. No matter what don't lite up... Keep on keepin on... Cherie
