Hopeful, you can do this.. If you have the patches giving you nicotene all you need is your mind power to stop yourself from having a cigarette.. Do anything to get your mind off of it.. I smoked 15+ cigs for 15 years and I never in a million years thought I would EVER quit.. Here I am almost 2 weeks later STILL smoke free.. The first few days were rough b/c I kept thinking about smoking as it was such a big part of my daily routine.. I still catch myself thinking about it a few times a day but the feeling goes away after a minute.. Just fight the mental crave, try it the first time and you will see that it's not easy but it is possbile! Best of luck to you, you can do this.. Keep posting and reading, keep us updated!

serenity, just make you sure you apologize to your daughter and explain to her that it is hard for you right now.. Im am 10000% sure she would rather have a mom who is going to be "crabby" for a few weeks then a mom who smokes..
So far I've been able to stop myself from blowing up with my children, like someone suggested count to 3.. I just pause before I know Im gonna blow my top, take a deep breath then start..

throw away that cancer stick, just think about how you would feel if you actually did smoke it.. You would ruin a 3 week quit plus you would probaly cough and it's gonna burn your throat.. OUUUUUUCH ;)
