Trace, Before you poke my eye out, let me say to you that it DOES get better!! I DO however, know how you feel. I was there earlier in my quit just waiting, no, almost looking for someone to even look at me wrong. :eg: I was soooo grumpy, hateful, and downright spiteful for awhile. But It goes away (unless you're naturally that way all the time :p) No, No...Get away from me with that pencil Trace!!! ;) Hang in there, it gets better. Trace, I say this with the utmost fear of you and your pokes. As I read and prepare for this quit I have come to see that so much of this addiction is attitude. And I suppose the success of a quit is so much attitude. Can you take just a moment and do an experiment? See if you can psych yourself into feeling better? I sure would like to know the results for next week! when you smell that nasty smoke....don't let the junky in you take over.....yes it's nasty...it's also DEADLY...bring to the front of your mind all the UNpleasant things about smoking. You have to let go of romancing your smoking past. and yes, this WILL pass.....I understand your being tired of it....so take time to reward and treat yourself.....and make sure you relate the reward to the fact that you do NOT smoke. it's ok to be cranky....but be GOOD to yourself during these times. Lots of healthy snacks...and some UNhealthy ones too ;) time for rest and relaxation...don't go hungry and don't neglect rest. and just hang tough....remember that you win as long as you don't smoke!! katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1844 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 73,792 Amount Saved: $10510.8 Life Gained: Days: 243 Hrs: 7 Mins: 5 Seconds: 6

holy, It is normal and does pass! You have recently ended the first two weeks of the quit and these can be the hardest. Take the time to keep occupied and learn to relax yourself every night. Get the sleep you need and enjoy yourself with activities and rewards. Start everyday fresh! Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
