The cigs got me :-(

I want to thank all of you for your support, but for now the cigs have a hold on me. Maybe I will try late. Congrats to all of you that have held your quits. I will be looking in now and then and maybe I can come up with another quit. God bless you all!!!

trip

Breaking Free, I am doing okay. Had some craves yesterday and earlier today, but everything seems okay now. I got a lot of sleep yesterday and went for a three mile walk today. The trip was great. Enjoyed everyone. Breaking Free, thank you for asking how I am doing. I hope you are doing okay. Help....day 7

You are not doing anything wrong. Just don't smoke. I found day 7, 8, and 9 dangerous for me. I can tell you it is not worth smoking over. Believe I have done it and then you are faced with starting all over again. Unless you like going though withdrawal, just hang tough and don't smoke. Deep breaths, lots of water, yelling at the moon, whatever it takes. Seven days is great. i'm sorry...

Kate please start over. I know what that one puff will do and if don't get right back on it could be awhile before you come back. It was around day 9 & 10 when I got in trouble in the past. I am aware now that they are rough days for me now and I just try and get though them. I am craving some, but know they will go away. I had trouble yesteday with our internet and I know what you mean. I paniced when I couldn't get on. Hang tight and please start over. 2nd morning

Good for you Kate. Thanks for your post yesterday. Sounds like we are the same page. I have tried to quit before, but this time I am going to use this site like crazy. The information I have found here is amazing. This is day three for me. Let's do this quit together :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 26 Amount Saved: $6 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 8 Mins: 22 Seconds: 58

First Day (I am so Scared)

You can do this. I am on day four. I have tried to stop before, so I understand you being scared. For me I just don't want to fail again. I have found this site and am going to use the heck out of it. I really want to stay stopped. So if we hold tight and come here often we will find sucess. It's okay to be scared, just don't smoke. Starting day four

Well I am starting day four. I have a funeral to attend today. Also getting ready to go out of town for a few days. We are going to visit our daughter and her family. Can't wait to see the kids. The cravings have been pretty stong at moments, but they do pass. I have things to keep me busy and plan to keep it that way. My daughter and her husband do not smoke so that will make it more comfortable. Things are going well. Hope everyone is have a great day. I will be checking in while I am out of town. Help

I am not far ahead of you and can understand what you are going through. Day one is horrible, but you can get through this. Drink lots of water, walk, find something to do.I am starting day four and there are moments and I know there will be more ahead, but I am going to try this moment by moment. I have tried quitting before and sure hope this is my last, because I do not want to go though day one again. So I can tell you do not smoke. Smoke only if you want to do day one over again. being bored...

Kate you can't smoke. Our quit day is the same. I look forward to see how you are doing. I will be checking in while I am out of town. Just remember it really does matter whether you smoke or not. It is hell to start over and over. I really want this to my last stop. Have a great day. trip

Hi, made it to my daughters okay. She has company over and one of them is smoking. So I came up here to let you know I am okay. It sure does smell good, but that's about it. There is no way I am going to give up my quit. The kids are so much fun and it is really nice to play with them and know that I do not smell like a sewer ;) Hope everyone is doing okay. Almost another 24 under my belt. Thanks to all of you!!!
