Kate you may have to stay away from some friends for awhile or until you are comfortable enough to ask them not to smoke around you. That happened to me the last time. I let them smoke and when they left there was enough of a cig for a few puffs and quess what? I blew my quit. So now I will be on gaurd and let my quit come first. Besides that you can't smoke this week-end - we are on the same walk and I need my buddy ;) You have a great week-end!!!

I am doing great for the moment and I am going to enjoy the heck out it. Got up this morning had breakfast and went for a three mile walk. I am getting ready to do things around the house and hope to keep busy all day. Hope everyone has a great day!!! I am not sure how the buddy list works. Do I just add whoever and does it work like instant messenger?

Hi, I had a good going and blew it. I have read and read on this site for some time but never posted. I plan on stopping tomorrow. I had 40+ days and smoked. I have had several quits before, but that was my longest. I knew exactly what I was doing so I can not blame any thing or anyone for my slip. I know what is ahead and I hope I can keep this one going one day at a time. What I have read has really helped before and I intend to be more active this time.

I just want to say thank you to those that have repied. It means a lot to me. What trips me up is I think I can get by with a puff or two. Insane yes, but I just get this urge that is so powerful that I have no control. I know I should wait until it passes, but I feel like I am going to go crazy. I am going to use this site a lot. I am in 12 step program, but I get to go to meetings. I have 29 years of sobiety, but this not smoking is the hardest thing I have ever encountered. Again thanks to you all!!

conrats on seven months. that is so wonderful. one day and do mean one day i will get there. Thanks for all you do for everyone including me. One of my regrets was letting you and others I had lost my quit, but not for long. See you around soon. :)
Just wanted to check in and say thank you to all of you. I have set a new quit day, but I am keeping that underwraps for now. I did not sleep well last night. Just a lot of quilt and confusion. But one day I will make it last. If I could count the days not smoking in past 11 months, there are a lot of days. I just have to get into this head of mine NOPE. The longest was 27 days. I can usually make it to 8 or 9 days and then something takes over. Oh, well enough is enough. Continue the quit and I will be back one day soon.((((hugs)))) :)
