Good-bye

Sorry to say this but I lost my quit today. The day started off great, but the urge to smoke has won out. Gonnadoit, keep your quit going. Will check in from time to time to see how you are doing. I want to that each of for your support. Not sure if quitting is in the game for me. Gonna, it was soooooo much fun being your partner, but the others will watch over you. Until the desire to quit become stonger than the desire to smoke returns, I must say good-by. Love you all!!!

Total sadness

Hi, I lost my quit on Saturday. I have set a new quit date, but I must tell you I am so afraid to try again. I have failed so many times. The people here are wonderful. The respones I got were so kind. I have been very depressed since I screwed up. I think about all of you and come here to see how everyone is doing, then I get sad when I see the quit meters. I don't like the way I feel right now and not sure what I want to do anymore. I really miss the interaction of this site. I know I am feeling sorry for myself, but that is just the way it is at the moment. I am just very, very sad. Newcomers, keep your quit. It is not worth what I am feeling right now. Withdrawal is a piece of cake compared to this. Hope to see you all soon.

A worthwhile struggle

Look at you - you are on day three!!! That is so great. I am sure your family would rather have you a little out of sorts than smoking. Just explain to them that it will not last forever, just give you some time. Celebrate you one week when you get there and maybe you could include them also, for going though it with you. Just a thought. Thanks for your reply earlier. Much Better

Thanks guys. Ladybug, it is a habit along with the addition. I can break the habit, the addition will be come a memory. I want this in the worse way. Free, thank you so much, I try to be honest. Taking a good look is an eye opener, but I am getting there. D2Q, I like you explantion of a trigger :p Sounds very familar. hummybird, marie, NascarFan and Casey thank for being there. Had a break though today. A friend came down for coffee and had a couple cigs. In the past I would have finished off the butts when she left. This time I told my husband to be sure to get rid of them right away. He threw then in the dog's waste bag :eg: I sure am not going there. Anway just wanted to check in and say thank you. Much Better

Today is much better. Day 6 and counting. I got up this morning and went for my walk. I had a long talk last night with a friend. She asked me why I could quit drinking and why it was so hard for me to quit the cigs. I told her that when I drank I was out of control, black out drinker and put people in danger, so on so on. Where as my smoking it didn't cause me memory lost, I was in control of my thoughts and actions. Now that the kids are gone and I did most of my smoking outside, thought what the hey. The more I write the more stupid this sounds. What I do regreat is all the years I smoked around the kids and didn't think I was harming them. Thank God they do not smoke and hate it. The point is I am now taking a long and hard look at my behavior where it concerns my slips (cigs) and why I do it. Sorry this sounds wacky.
