Hi guys :)
day 24 today. not easy ..some conflits at work... lots of sneezing in the morning

lots of cravings...but not long ones

went to the doctor follow up appointment... doctor is an ex-smoker himself, so i am glad he understands a bit. He says symptoms can last for months and that i just have to be patient and stay quit

hugs for everyone

thank you for being here for me

Congratulations Krystal ! Your doing GREAT !

Jims advice :Remember to drink plenty of ice water and breath deep!  Flush those toxins out and get some good ol' fresh air into those healing lungs of yours!
is spot on. I would just add that you may want to read Carrs "Easy Way to Quit Smoking" one of the principles he points out is that the changes your body is going through should be embraced not feared. Your body is healing itself now that you have given it a fighting chance. It is not "easy" to quit but it is entirely doable as evidenced here by all the people who have done so.

Stay with us Krystal !

Hang in there!  Like you said, you never want to smoke again!  That's all you have to remind yourself when the nico-demon starts whispering to you!  You CAN do this!!!

Congratulations Krystal!  I echo the great thoughts and support of the other SSC members.  I joined this site when I quit 9 months ago and all the suggestions, ideas and support really helped me through the most difficult parts.  You're through the worst oof it now and whenever you have a craving, just remind yourself of how you felt those forst few days and how you don't want to have to repeat that.  I know what you're saying about the anxiety though.  That was brutal for me too but it's long now.Keep strong and keep your quit, it's worth all the work!

Congrats on making it through HECK WEEK, Krystal!!!

Another thing that may help you on your journey is to remember these first 2 weeks and those previous 16 days of fighting the demon!  Remember and vow to yourself not to repeat those early days again!

One thing that we used to tell our new quit buddies was whenever you had a monster crave going on, get online and post for help!  Wait for at least 3 replies and by then your crave will be gone!  Also, you'll be stronger for whoopin' that demon's butt once again!    Every battle you win, the demon gets weaker!   Soon, it's hold on you will become less and less!

Remember to drink plenty of ice water and breath deep!  Flush those toxins out and get some good ol' fresh air into those healing lungs of yours!

          You CAN do this!!!
