I have been smoking for 45 years. Used to smoke 21/2 to 3 packs a day. Was an athlete, and got away with smoking that much Don't know how.
A couple of years ago I fractured my hip, and ended up in rehab in a nursing home here in New York City. I started blood tests here and ended up with a diagnosis of Anemia. Because of my low hemoglobin count, I started to feel shortness of breat. Smoking, of course compounds the problem.
Am now smoking 1/2 pack a day, but even that that is too much.
Have tried the patch, gum acupuncture, even hypnosis, nothing has helped. It' a very stubborn 1/2 pack each day.
Anyone have any ideas
