Welcome Little Bear!

I am sorry to read about your health concerns. Congrats on cutting back so much though. That's a huge achievement. Have you talked to your doctor about options? I know many members here have had success on Champix. Also, try out the program. Sometimes having a solid quit plan is all you need.

Simple, but not easy.....

Don't put anything in your mouth and light it on fire.

I hope that you can be more stubborn than that half pack!

I have been smoking for 45 years. Used to smoke 21/2 to 3 packs a day. Was an athlete, and got away with smoking that much Don't know how. A couple of years ago I fractured my hip, and ended up in rehab in a nursing home here in New York City. I started blood tests here and ended up with a diagnosis of Anemia. Because of my low hemoglobin count, I started to feel shortness of breat. Smoking, of course compounds the problem. Am now smoking 1/2 pack a day, but even that that is too much. Have tried the patch, gum acupuncture, even hypnosis, nothing has helped. It' a very stubborn 1/2 pack each day. Anyone have any ideas
