Welcome!!

Allen Carr's book helped me a lot.  I even keep the CDs in my car to listen to when I'm having a rough day.  Smoked for over 20 years and quit more than 10 times.  I'm am doing this this time because my desire to quite is much greater than my desire to smoke.

The support on this site is fantastic...stay close, read and post often.  Best of luck on your non-smoking journey Rhiannon!

Hey Rhiannon!!!
b
Welcome to the SSC!!!  It looks like you really want this quit, have taken the first few steps and have been following the 6-P's!!!  (Proper Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance!)  That is one of the keys to a successful quit!!  An other is having a Positive Mental Attitude going into your quit and wanting the freedom that quitting brings you  MORE  than you want to smoke those nasty cancer sticks!  It's sort of like just getting so sick and tired of them that you are willing to do anything to be free of the addiction!

Stick close, read and learn from the information in the Program and the Forums!  Knowledge is power and there is a wealth of information here!  Use it and lean on us and you too can free yourself!  Post when you need us... we'll be here for you!!!

thanks for the encouragement - this is going to be a process- I was hoping to lose the desire after reading Allen's book - we all want it to be easy  lol - I am going to keep plugging away and work on some mini quits until my quit date.

Hey there, Rhiannon good on you!!! I smoked roll your owns for 30 years ( and tried and failed a number of times to get free...),. This forum is a great place todrop in and get suppport. I read the Allen Carr book (twice) and it really helped me. I dont desire to smoke at all, I drank alot of water when I started the road to freedom, and ,like they say, every time I felt a pang for a nicotine fix I knew it was the monster dying that little bit more!!!! You can do this, jump in the waters just fine!!!!

Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,250
Amount Saved: $2,775.00
