I slipped yesterday

15 years ago 0 1209 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Don't beat yourself up....  realizing that the smoke did not change a thing, is a learning experience.. so remember in situations, of shock and anger, emotions.   we ran for the pack and lighter... ok.. maybe sometimes so we didn't have to deal with that emotion at that moment.... but we have to deal with it sometime..

I read ... and tried to practice... seeing myself in different situations.... without a cigarette...

Smoking took practice (remember how we coughed and gagged....) well not smoking takes practice too.

This first week of quitting has been hell for me.  I've learned when the craves get tough, come here OFTEN.  I hope you come back and start again.  Also, dont quit alone.  I'm not sure if thats possible.  I know without this place I wouldn't have gotten my first week behind me

Hey Starsign! dont get mad with yourself- you slipped, it happens- and the thing is as you so rightly pointed out yourself, having the ciggie didnt change anything did it?
The thing you should be proud of is you realised what happened and you acknowledged it-so keep up the good fight and keep posting especially if you need some help.
