Booling, It's normal to feel a little sad at the beginning of a quit. If you can't get the support you need from an outside source, you'll need to go inside to get it. What could you do for yourself today to make yourself feel better? Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

I understand that he's you 'rock' Booling but remember that you're doing this Quit for yourself ...he'll be out of his blues by tomorrow. Read into the programme here and see how you can feed your mind with extra strength... maybe an exercise in being solicitous of him would help you...? Feeling sad is very normal. Your body is healing and you are making a tremendous lifestyle change. And even if you can't rely on hubby for support right now, we are here to help! You're doing great with five days smoke free! Pamper yourself as much as possible and get some rest. Tomorrow will be a better day. So I am feeling sad all of a sudden. My husband is having a low energy kind of sad day and I am feeling really unsupported. Just sort of getting the "don't cares". I am staying busy, I have all these selfish feelings, like I am the one that needs support right now and he has to wait. Being a non-smoker makes me mean. He is a large part of my support system and him not seeming to care makes my will power a little shaky. Could somebody tell me that I will feel even just a little better soon? Thanks! [q] How do you drink champagne without smoking? [/q] Hey, I know the answer to this one: EASILY! Go ahead and try it, to celebrate getting through hell week. You'll be surprised. And, guess what? The longer you stay away from cigarettes, THE BETTER IT TASTES! How cool is that? Welcome aboard, Booling. You're doing great. the worst will be over really soon, booling. The nicotine is now officially out of your body. Pamper yourself, give yourself some kind of meaningful reward.
