Welcome, I too am a Chantix user. I tried everything out there except hanging upside down :p Seriously if you want to quit it is yours to have. Chantix is a tool, but desire to quit has to come from you. We are here to support and help if we can. Hi Revel, Welcome! I'm fairly new here too but have found the support here invaluable to my quit. I'm not using Chantix, but have a friend who is (she has 21 days), and she's doing great. She's had very few cravings. Keep us posted about how it's going, okay? Lean on people when you need to. Here's to your success! Hi Revel - Moss here, I have my quit date set but might be bumping it up a couple days because i will have a few days off away from people. I'm also a 33 yr smoker. I am in no position to give advice yet but have found that doing the homework, using the tools and educating myself about this nasty addiction have been helpful in boosting my motivation in advance of quit date. Good Luck to You and me too Moss My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: -7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: -105 Amount Saved: $-18.38 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: -92790

Hi and welcome Revel, I'm still using Chantix and quit 2 weeks after starting. It is suggested to quit after 1 week but because I smoked almost 2 packs a day for 30 years I was told to wait the 2 weeks. Either way before my quit date I already cut back to 3 a day. This medication as well as the support here made the quit almost too easy. I haven't had any withdrawals and few cravings. You can do it. Use the workbook as well and post often!! Welcome Revel, I used chantix and found it to be key in my success. Plus this site. I think it's important to set a quit date and stick to it, otherwise you might never find "the right time". Have you checked out the Quit workbook? That is very helpful. Let us know how you're doing and if we can help in any way.
