Hi Shuttebug... I know at first it's not easy. Believe me i know...my quitting date is not too far from yours. At first, i did'nt feel myself anymore. It was like i did'nt know who i was. I thought i was leaving my best friend and would never find happiness again. But it all changes. Just take one day at a time. YOUR DOING GREAT!!! My strategie right now is trying to have a very positive attitude. It's not always easy...but i have noticed that when i stopped complaining on how hard this is... and concentrate harder on how i'm taking control over my life...it's easier. Hang in there...We are all in this together. Hi everyone, thanks for the boost, I took a puff of my husbands cig and got really sick to my stomach, THAT'S IT! NO MORE! AT ALL! Thank goodness he is starting Chantix this week, no more temptation at night. I will stay tough, don't like feeling sick and dizzy at all. Onward to being smoke free. Keeping busy drinking water, nearly floated out of bed last night. Hang in their all of you, it good to know you are all there for all of us. Stand guard Shutterbug, You are coming up on 30 days, you can and should expect a few craving hits and could be severe. After that it is much smoother sailing! Congrats, should start seeing blue sky ahead. shutterbug, Great job on those 28 days - that's FOUR WEEKS! Rewards will help with some of the emotional stuff too and you have much to reward yourself for! Look at all those cigarettes you haven't smoked, that's awesome. Sometimes changing up some patterns can be a good thing too. Ride this part out and you've got it made. Hi Shutterbug, I'm also taking Chantix and loving it! I agree with you... I really don't have cravings anymore... it's all psychological at this point. Those doggone triggers keep popping up. But I know, since I'm taking the Chantix a cig isn't going to do anything for me anyway! That got me to thinking about what the cigs ever did for me in the first place. Stress is my biggest trigger and did the cigs ever solve one of my problems? Nope!! So that's what I'm hanging onto... they were never my "friend," all they ever did was harm me, never help. Have a good one and keep up the good work!!!

Shutterbug, Hang in there. I am very emotional too. That is a hard thing for me and the tears just come out of nowhere. We are pretty close in days and mine are just up and down. I am writing in my journal alot. It does seem to help. sometimes when I read it back I am a little shocked at what I really am acomplishing. You are doing good too. We have too much time in to do backwards. N.O.P.E. Shutter, Looking good with 28 days! Use your doctor to help come up with a plan that is right for you. Start with lots of water and work upwards :) Josie, Support Specialist
